Bone of My Bones

I stopped living the day she died,

My love, my soul mate, my life, my bride.

Others desired her, I was her choice,

No melody so sweet as the sound of her voice.

No diamonds in her rings, just imitation   gemstones,

But it mattered not to the bone of my bones.

Thoughts of her upon waking fill my mind,

Two heads lying on one pillow, bodies entwined.

Thoughts of her sustain me throughout my day,

Nothing could prepare me when she was taken away.

No more intimate talks in the night or listening to love songs,

No sharing of joys or sorrows with the bone of my bones.

Home doesn't feel like home anymore

No one to poke me in bed when I snore.

Sadness engulf me seeing her books and favorite chair,

They are just as she left them, but she won't be there.

I completed my final mission today; purchased matching headstones,

No love, no soul mate, no life, no bone of my bones.

But grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.    2Peter 3:18

Even every one that is called by my name; for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.   Isaiah 43: 7

And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the Lord blessed him.   Judges 13:24

If you had the opportunity to spend some time with any  woman in  the Old Testament  who would it be? You do not have to chose just one.  I encourage you to discover how God dealt with these women in dispensing  His grace in their lives. There is hope and promise for all of us, as well as reward and judgment.

Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.  Gen. 2:7.                 Would you like to know what happens when ordinary men  meet  the Almighty and Awesome God? The  GenesisMen  will take you on a poetic journeywith God and the men who were chosen by Him  for His purpose and plan.

The Genesis Men  was written to appeal to readers of all ages. The purpose of the form in which it is written is two-fold. It is written for those who are interested in reading poetry; and those who have not been particularly interested in poetry. The ultimate goal is to entice the reader to read the most profound and poetic book of all time; that has withstood the test of time, and will last throughout eternity, the Bible.

The man said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh, She shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man.    Gen. 2:23

And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a  flood to destroy all flesh.   Gen. 9: 14,15

Grace, Growth, and Glory ...greater is  He that is in you, than he that is in the world.  1John 4:4

Poetry by Dorothy Bernard

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.  Gen. 6:8

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.   Heb. 12:2

Some of these women are infamous with reputations so justly deserved,

The lives of some are not so well known, their stories you have never heard.

Some we know in some depth, some not so well,

But they all have their own unique story to tell.

Most of them we delight in with well deserved respect and godly fame,

A few are scheming and deceiving, whose name brings us shame.

Some are highly respected a few may be greatly despised,

But none of them escaped their destiny shaped by God, who is all seeing, Almighty and wise.

And the dove came in to him in the evening; and lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off; so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth. And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.     Gen. 8: 11, 12
